For those who love carbon steel but also cook dishes with more acidity, there is the Allround Pan. It is an enamelled carbon steel frying pan that combines the heat properties of carbon steel with a durable and protective enamel surface. The result is a pan that provides even heat distribution and excellent cooking performance. It works well for everything from fish and meat to tomato based dishes. A perfect complement to your traditional carbon steel pan.
As with our classic carbon steel pans, it is important to heat the pan slowly. We recommend about five minutes on low to medium heat before increasing to your desired cooking temperature. Carbon steel conducts heat very efficiently, so medium heat is usually sufficient.
The handle is made of stainless steel and is the same ergonomic model used on our carbon steel frying pan. It was designed by Designstudio Amsell Berlin, who continued the soft and rounded form of the pan into the handle design. The wider handle balances the weight of the pan, and the curved shape provides a stable and comfortable grip, even with two hands.
Like our other pans, this one has high and straight sides, which provide a larger cooking surface compared to many other pans of the same size.
The enamelled surface allows the pan to be cleaned with dish soap and even in the dishwasher. To maintain the shine of the enamel, we recommend hand washing.
Available in three sizes: 24 cm, 28 cm, and 30 cm.
Please note that handle covers 5x14 cm and 5x19 cm do not fit this pan.
